Do you even care about the war of the Muslims?
by free2beme ina man i knew very well at work, who i even traveled to mexico with on a company trip, is a muslim from afghanistan.
he told me once, "never trust any muslim, as they will not tell you the truth about themselves until it is too late.
" i found this interesting as this man was muslim.

Disfellowshipping - How long to return?
by CaptK indoes anybody know how long it takes for one to get re-instated if you are not that well liked by the body of elders?
i was disfellowshiped for immorality almost 2 years ago.
with my job and attending college to keep in step with my field of work, i have only been attending the sunday talk & wt meeting every week.

Christian neutrality means actively minding our own business, and taking care of the responsibilities assigned to us.
Christians are assigned to preach, to warn, to teach the Scriptures. This involves discretion, discernment, allowing other's to choose their course, and not trying to influence others with our simply personal views.
Christians are commanded to love God and neighbor, including our "enemies". Christians are told to pray in line with Jehovah's will, which includes His desire that no human should perish.
Christians are counseled not to love the world or the things in it, not to be a friend of the world. They to overcome the evil with the good, give Bible counsel where it may be beneficial.

Each human or government is to be judged according to the standards of the Bible, and not in comparison to anyone else. So, favoritism by human standards shows that we do not support Jehovah's view on matters.
When I have been personally asked to fill in a performance evaluation with respect to a company or government agency, I have seen no reason not to comply.
Defending and legally establishing the Good News has been done throughout Its history. What is not acceptable, based on passages such as 1 Corinthians 6, is to bypass the Congregation in matters which could just pertain to the Congregation. There is no problem to use the law of the land where legal rights and corporations are involved, or various other matters which are registered by the law of the land.
I didn't give up my right to vote, but my chosen Government (the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, or its representative, the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses) is not on the ballot. Every time I attend a meeting sponsored by the CCJW, I am voting with my feet. If I'm a member of the local Congregation, I vote on motions whenever they come up.

If we don't want to keep true, then we lose friends. It happens all the time. We can even not like ourselves then.
Actually, I and J didn't become separate letters in English till later than that, and the same goes for the letters U and V. Jehovah is used by the American Standard Version, Verkuyl's Berkeley Versions, Byington's Bible in Living English, Fenton's Complete Bible in Modern English, Stern's Jewish New Testament, the KJV, Young's Literal Translation of the Holy Bible, the Living Bible (paraphrased), Moulton's Modern Reader's Bible, the New English Bible, the NWT, and the Webster Bible. In my own personal Bible collection, I also see Yahweh (An American Translation, the Bible in basic English, the Contemporary English Version, the Easy-to-Read Version, God's Word™, Traina's Holy Name Bible, New American Bible, New Century Version, New Jerusalem Bible, Revised English Bible, Today's English Version), Javé (Knox), YAHVAH (Rotherham Version revised). Several that prefer Jehovah, also recognize Yahweh as a legitimate transliteration of Hebrew; and several that prefer Yahweh, also recognized Jehovah as a legitimate English translation of the Hebrew. English is like every other language on Earth today, it evolves as people use it in different ways and as usage changes over time.
We all have the freedom of choice, even if there are various "forces" at play. If we choose to return to something, that is our decision. I, for one have never worshipped a book publishing company, nor does that appeal to me. If someone else has or does, I'm sure the True God will make sure that the person knows the True God's views with respect to worship.

If Jehovah wants representation on behalf of His people, he has His way of getting doing it, whether it's having a JW in government, such as Joseph, Daniel, or even Queen Esther, or whether it is in another way such as with Jesus, Stephen, or the Apostle Paul before the authorities of the day.
